COLLECTION 2 - VOLCANO
Myvatn, North Iceland
This collection of three images have been carefully selected to represent my most valued work, both from a technical and visual perspective and are personal favourites of mine.
The minimal approach to this collection was influenced by the cold, harsh lava fields and dormant volcanos of North East Iceland. The area around Myvatn is steeped in volcanic history dating back thousands of years, and it is easy to see why it is heaven on earth for a landscape photographer.
I have visited this area many times, and each trip delivers something unique, this collection represents two days spent wading through deep snow and harsh sub-zero temperatures to connect with the land and find unique isolated compositions.
The three volcanos are all linked to the Krafla volcano system and remain alive and active, albeit dormant since 1982 since the Krafla firs ended, there is a lifetime of adventures in this area, and I look forward to returning again in the future.

Print care
All of my images are printed from high-resolution files onto contemporary fine art paper of the highest quality and have an archive life of over 100 years in normal conditions.
However, prolonged, direct sunlight on any photographic image prematurely ages it.
I therefore recommend that you place your print away from direct sunlight and mount behind UV or Anti Reflection glass for best results.
